About the program coordinator
Emma Bowen is the Program Coordinator for the Momentum Artist Collective, a program of Community Support Advocates. She has served in this role since 2025. Emma graduated from BYU-Idaho with a BA in English (creative writing emphasis) and a minor in Music. Emma has worked in a variety of fields, with a focus in recreation, adaptive/accessible programming, and disability services. Her work has taken her across the United States and has encompassed everything from being a deckhand in Alaska, snowboard and ski instructor in Wyoming, rock climbing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu adaptive instructor in North Carolina, and a direct support professional in Iowa. Emma loves to create accessible spaces for art and creativity. Thanks to her ADHD and autism, she considers herself a maker versus an artist and dabbles in tailoring, leather work, construction, and automotive repair. She will happily die on her soapbox that accessibility is not that hard and genuinely believes more energy is wasted arguing about why something can’t be made accessible than it takes to figure out how it can.
